CURRENT
PROJECTS
FARMACEUTICOS MUNDI develops co-operative
project and humanitarian aid with these general
objectives:

The creation
or consolidation of communitary pharmacy
networks and community health centres in
depressed areas where an apparent lack of
medication exists or where their commercial
price makes it absolutely inaccessible for
the general population.

Supporting, training
and educating health professionals and the
affected population on the appropriate use
of medication as well as promoting the use
of generic drugs and the importance of preventive
medicine.

Setting up nutrition
programs aimed at helping those especially
vulnerable: children, elders, the mentally
deficient, mothers etc.

| - |
The construction and
supply of laboratories dedicated to basic
diagnosis, and the installation of drinking
water facilities.

Establishing and equipping
health and transport facilities for the
ill: first aid posts, hospitals, ambulances,
community pharmacies etc. |

At the moment we have co-operative
projects underway in:
AMERICA: Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Ecuador,
Perú, Cuba and Bolivia.
EUROPE: Bulgaria, and Macedonian
AFRICA: Mali, Mozambique, Mauritania, Sahara and
Liberia |

In the last 7 years we have carried out more
than 40 development and humanitarian aid projects.
At present FARMAMUNDI is
specialising in the supply of essential
drugs for humanitarian aid to populations
which are victims of underdevelopment, natural
catastrophes or warlike circumstances. We do this directly with our own means or
through other organisations that work in the
area. |

or emergency actions are supplemented by half or
long term co-operative projects towards development.

prices through the first Pharmaceutical Purchase
Centre in Spain.
